Bubba Wallace Wears A Body Cam While Walking Through A Sea Of Booing NASCAR Fans: 'Say A Prayer'
Kyle Busch may be stealing all the headlines right now for getting his face smashed, but make no mistake about it – Bubba Wallace is still the most divisive driver in the NASCAR garage.
Frankly, it ain't really close. You either love Bubba or hate him more than anything in the entire world. There is no middle ground. None.
Ever since that fake noose was found hanging in his garage stall back in 2020, he's been Mr. Polarizing. Personally, I think it's a bad rap because I 100% blame NASCAR for that debacle, but when I say that, you guys all yell at me, which sort of shows how divided the fanbase is when it comes to Bubba.
Now, I've got no problem calling him out. Don't get me wrong. I think he's probably the most dramatic driver in the series. I think he'd probably agree with me on that one, too. But when it comes to content?
There ain't a single person in the garage who pumps out better content on a weekly basis than Bubba Wallace.
Exhibit A:
Take a walk through the NASCAR infield with Bubba Wallace
I mean, come on – that's good stuff. Love him or hate him, that's A+ work from Bubba. What did Dale Earnhardt once say?
"Doesn't matter if they're booing or cheering, as long as they're making noise."
Amen, brother. It's so true, and it's especially true in NASCAR. This is a sport that's desperately trying to not only stay afloat, but grow. They were down so bad for years – probably a decade or more – and I feel like it's been a slow, but steady, climb back to the top.
Ratings are decent (for 2024, of course), and grandstands have been pretty damn packed for the most part this season.
You know what most of the world was talking about Monday? The fight between Kyle Busch and Ricky Stenhouse Jr. That's good. More of that, please.
As for Bubba … again, he's as polarizing as it gets. He's booed week in and week out more than any other driver. Denny Hamlin is probably a close second.
But do you know who moves the needle more than anyone else in NASCAR? Denny Hamlin …. and Bubba Wallace.
Chase Elliott is the sport's most popular driver, but guys like Denny, Bubba and Kyle Busch make the fellas in the analytics department smile. I've seen the numbers, so trust me on this one.
Look at the above tweet … it took about four seconds to go viral. Mega views. The comment section is a wasteland. It's chaos.
But give Bubba Wallace credit – like it or not – for taking it all in stride. The guy can be a basket case at times – nobody exits a car after a big race and acts more exhausted/defeated quite like Bubba – but solid content like this makes it worth it.
PS: "F--k these sons of b*tches" guy is electric. What a specimen.
