Bryson DeChambeau Threw A Fourth Of July Pool Party With The U.S. Open Trophy In All-Time American Scene

Like every other proud American, Bryson DeChambeau hung around a pool on the Fourth of July. He also partook in the consumption of some adult beverages, but his plus-one was as unique as they come.

Catching up with Golf Channel's Johnson Wagner ahead of this week's Open at Royal Troon, DeChambeau revealed that he brought the U.S. Open trophy to the Fourth of July pool party at one of his buddy's places and sipped what we can only assume is some not-so-cheap wine from the iconic piece of hardware.

"I was in Dallas at my friend's house, we were just hanging out and having some wine out of the trophy and having a good time," DeChambeau said with a grin on his face. "It was a pool party, played some volleyball, threw a football around and luckily I didn't hurt anything."

Talk about an all-American scene. DeChambeau casually rolling up in his Bentley with the U.S. Open trophy in the passenger's seat, undoubtedly wearing either an American flag shirt or American flag swim trunks, ready to rage with his buddies and celebrate the greatest country in the world.

DeChambeau has made sipping wine from the trophy a bit of a habit at this point.

The Monday following his U.S. Open win at Pinehurst, DeChambeau paid a visit to Trump National Golf Club in New York on Monday night. He was greeted with a video message from former President Donald Trump congratulating him on his drama-packed victory at Pinehurst No. 2 over the weekend.

Donald Trump's son, Eric Trump, helped the 30-year-old fill the U.S. Open trophy with what we can assume is a Trump bottle of red wine before DeChambeau took a large pull from the hardware.

DeChambeau has a chance to join a very exclusive club this week at The Open. If he finishes T-6 or better, he would join Tiger Woods (twice), Brooks Koepka, Jordan Spieth, and Phil Mickelson as a player to finish in the top six in all four majors in a single year (including a win) since the year 2000.
