Bryson DeChambeau Shows Off New Swing Drill That Involves Smashing Golf Balls With Your Eyes Closed

There may not be a professional athlete out there who marches to the beat of his or her own drum more so than Bryson DeChambeau. His uniqueness is what makes him one of the greatest characters in all of golf, but also one of the most polarizing figures in the sport as well.

However, whether you're a diehard DeChambeau fan or can't stand the man, he's appointment viewing when he has things clicking. The golf world being enthralled by DeChambeau during this year's PGA Championship where he finished runner-up to Xander Schauffele is just the most recent example of just how encapsulating he can be.

There aren't too many golfers in the world who can make swing drills on the driving range entertaining, but DeChambeau checks that box as well.

In a recent video series shared by LIV Golf, DeChambeau went through a lesson and shared a couple of drills players could maybe add to their own practice sessions back home. The keyword there is ‘maybe,’ because one drill may cause serious harm to people and objects around you.

The drill is called The Blind Tee Shot Drill, and yep, it's exactly what it sounds like.

To DeChambeau's credit, he points out that anyone trying the drill should make sure they're in a safe environment, and not a jam-packed driving range for example. Having said that, the drill entails you grabbing a club, closing your eyes, and taking a swing to "get comfortable with your space" and have better control of your clubhead.

For one of the best golfers walking the planet such as DeChambeau, sure, this drill may be beneficial given he's an elite-level athlete with otherworldly hand-eye coordination. For the 14 handicaps out there who want to try this drill, it's a lawsuit waiting to be filed.

It's wild, and also slightly depressing, to think of how many people Bryson DeChambeau can out drive with his eyes closed.

With DeChambeau going all-in on YouTube these days as a serious side hustle to his professional golf career, we need to see him challenge players to certain shots with his eyes closed. Would watch.
