Brittany Mahomes Voices Support For Caitlin Clark: 'You're A Baller'
A slew of celebrities have voiced their support for Indiana Fever guard Caitlin Clark after she suffered a reckless body check in a game against the Chicago Sky. We can now add Brittany Mahomes to that list.
Mahomes (whose husband is some guy named Patrick) took to Instagram yesterday to voice her support for the WNBA phenom. She posted this graphic on her story, which highlighted how Clark has had a historic start to her career (despite all of the abuse).
Mahomes then posted this caption along with the graphic.
"@caitlinclark22 keep doing your thing!! You’re a baller and it’s incredible to see what you’re doing for the game and women’s sports!!" Mahomes wrote.
Surprisingly, Mahomes’ reaction to Clark’s impact on the league has been starkly different from how most WNBA stars have reacted to Clark’s presence.
Before Clark even played a game in the league, Las Vegas Aces forward A’ja Wilson attacked her and said that she’s only popular because she’s white. That was a patently absurd claim, but nonetheless showed the general attitude most WNBA players have towards Clark.

Furthermore, the player that body-checked Clark - Chennedy Carter - shockingly said that the rookie sensation doesn’t bring anything to the WNBA besides three-point shooting. Obviously, she chose to completely ignore the record attendance and viewerships she’s brought to a league that’s remained in obscurity for most of its experience.
OutKick’s Dan Zaksheske pointed out that all the animosity is probably a good thing for the WNBA. But at the same time, it’s good to know that people like Mahomes have her back through the rough stages of her career.
