Angel Reese, Chicago Sky Fined For Violating WNBA Media Policies
The WNBA has fined Angel Reese and the Chicago Sky for failing to comply with league media policies after Saturday's loss to the Indiana Fever.
The game was billed as the much-anticipated rematch between Reese and Caitlin Clark, who were rivals in college. It certainly lived up to the hype, with players chirping back and forth throughout the game. And the Sky's Chennedy Carter laid a hard foul on Clark that had the whole sports world talking. Reese stood up and celebrated after her teammate knocked the 2024 No. 1 overall pick to the ground.

But as vocal as Reese was during the game, she had nothing to say afterward. Following the 71-70 loss at the hands of her rival's team, the former LSU star refused to speak to reporters. Reese's absence landed her a $1,000 fine. The league also fined the Sky $5,000 for failing to ensure all players complied with WNBA media policies.
Carter did participate in media availability, but she was tight-lipped about her foul on Clark. Refs ruled the rough shoulder check a common foul during the game, but the WNBA upgraded it to a Flagrant 1 on Sunday morning.
"I ain’t answering no Caitlin Clark questions," Carter said when a reporter asked her about the incident.
Meanwhile, Clark did speak about the foul, but she brushed it off.
"Yeah, that’s just not a basketball play," Clark said during the in-game broadcast. "But you know, I’ve gotta play through it. That’s what basketball is about at this level. I thought we’ve been really physical, we’ve missed some bunnies around the rim, so hopefully those fall in the fourth."

Something tells me Reese, Carter and the Sky would have been happy to talk if they had won the game. Instead, they fell to 3-4, while the Fever snagged just their second W of the season.
As the saying goes, don't dish it out if you can't take it.
