Social media was on fire after Angel Reese smoked Caitlin Clark in the head.
Clark and the Indiana Fever beat Reese and the Chicago Sky for the second time this WNBA season with a 91-83 victory Sunday.
Clark put together one of her best games of the season with 23 points, nine assists and eight rebounds. However, the moment that had everyone talking was when Reese hammered the Fever rookie in the head while attempting a block.
The play earned her a flagrant foul and the reactions to it on social media were electric.

There was no doubt in my mind that the moment Reese popped Clark in the head that social media was going to erupt, and that's exactly what happened.

Reese's case definitely wasn't helped by claiming the vicious hit was simply a "basketball play." Sure, she attempted to block Clark, but didn't come close. She jacked up the WNBA star's head instead.
