Angel Reese Viciously Blasts Caitlin Clark In The Head, Gets Flagrant Foul

The much-anticipated rematch between the Indiana Fever and Chicago Sky took place on Sunday afternoon. In the first meeting, Sky veteran Chennedy Clark took a cheap shot at Caitlin Clark and rookie Sky teammate Angel Reese cheered her on. 

The second matchup started rather mundanely, although it got a little chippy in the first quarter between Clark and another Sky player, this time Dana Evans. 

Clearly, Angel Reese is enjoying her time as a villain in the WNBA, something she talked proudly about. After hitting a free throw in the first half, she blew a kiss to the Indiana crowd. 

Clark started strong, scoring seven quick points, before going quiet for a while. 

Then she came alive in the third quarter, scoring five points over a one-minute span. 

Then, she added a few more points via the free-throw line, two of them coming after Angel Reese blasted Clark in the side of the head while Clark attempted to make a layup. 

Initially, referees ruled a common foul against Reese, but they upgraded that to a flagrant 1 upon review, citing "excessive contact to the head." That's an understatement.

Three Fever teammates came over quickly to help Clark off of the floor, after she hit the deck hard. 

Reese is probably going to say that she was going for the ball, but she missed the ball by a wide margin and hit the center of Clark's head with precision. 

CBS interviewed Clark after the third quarter, but the reporter did not ask about the foul, instead electing to ask about the Fever's defense. 

It's clear that the Reese-Clark and Indiana Fever-Chicago Sky rivalries aren't going anywhere anytime soon.
