Aaron Rodgers Gives Jordan Love Some Self-Serving Financial Advice After Love Landed His Big Contract

How much money are you going to be making over the next four years? If you’re Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love, that answer is $220 million.

Yup, you read that right. After his first full season in which he barely got the Packers into the playoffs, Green Bay made Love one of the highest-paid players in NFL history. (If I could go back in time and tell my younger self what career path to take, I wouldn’t hesitate to tell him he should be a quarterback).

Now that Love has got his massive pay day, that means that the 2020 quarterback class has raked in some serious cash.

$1.25 billion?!?!?! Sheesh, that’s a lot of Benjamins to spend on just five guys (unless we’re talking about the hamburger joint, in which case it's not nearly enough).

Of course, New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers took notice of this massive contract (I’m sure that pretty much everyone else in the NFL did too). But Rodgers had more reason to be in the know, as he and Love were former teammates in Green Bay for three seasons.

With that in mind, he wished Love nothing but love (sorry for the dad joke) in an interview today with NFL Network. But Rodgers also gave him some financial advice that would both benefit Love and himself.

"I want to give a shout out to Jordan Love becoming the highest-paid player in the NFL," Rodgers said. "J-Love, don’t spend it all in one place, but if you do, I still have a house in Green Bay that’s up for sale."

He’s not lying either. As of 2022, Rodgers’ house in Hobart, WI was on the market for just under $2 million. I certainly think that if Love feels so inclined, he might - just might - be able to work that in his budget.
