Knicks Fans Dominated 76ers In Game 6 Despite Philly Owners Buying 2,000 Tickets

It was absolute scenes last night once again at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia for Game 6 of the first round of the NBA Playoffs - but not from 76ers fans, but rather the New York Knicks faithful.

Despite the Sixers ownership purchasing 2,000 tickets so that Knicks fans couldn't embarrass them like they did in Game 4, Knicks fans showed up in big numbers and only got louder as the game continued. It worked, as they saw the Knickerbockers win 118-115, and advance to the second round of the playoffs - for only the third time since the 1999-2000 season and the first time they've won back to back series since then as well.

Think about that for a minute. That is LITERALLY before September 11th, 2001. That's how long Knicks fans have been waiting for something from their team.

Understandably, you can understand why Knicks fans traveled and were so loud last night - even making Philly's Wells Fargo Center sound like it was a Knicks home game at the Garden!

KNICKS ADVANCE TO THE 2ND ROUND

Now, truth be told, as someone who grew up in New Jersey and has lived in NYC for over 12+ years, I'm clearly not a Philly fan. In fact - I have repeatedly called them out as a B-rate city, which they've only continued to live up to.

Prior to tip-off, I even responded to MSG announcer Alan Hahn and warned Knicks fans that they should try and stay safe on their trip back home should they win, because Philly sports fans are not exactly the best representation of the city of ‘Brotherly Love.' Just ask Santa Claus.

And although there were typical Philly fans being sore-losers, like this loser who chucked a beer at a Knicks fan's face, it appears that things ultimately turned out well for Knicks fans.

Honestly, I'm almost ashamed of myself today, thinking that my fellow Knicks fans couldn't hold their own.

You think Philly fans were going to have any effect on them last night after once again losing on their home court? Come on. Heck, it seemed like some Sixers fans even joined in as the Knicks fans chanted, "F Joel Embiid" across the arena.

The Sixers will have to decide what to do with what is expected to be a major overhaul of the offseason.

Meanwhile, with the Indiana Pacers defeating the Milwaukee Bucks last night 4 games to 2, the Knicks will have a few days to gear up before they face them Monday night at home.

One thing's for certain - you can expect Knicks fans to be loud.
