WWE Waves Goodbye To Superstar Bray Wyatt

After 12 years and three world titles, Bray Wyatt and the WWE are parting ways. The WWE announced this afternoon that they have released the popular Wyatt from his contract, making the 34-year old a free agent.




Despite more than a decade of service, Wyatt's unexpected departure was good enough for only a single sentence in the wrestling promotion's announcement: "WWE has come to terms on the release of Bray Wyatt. We wish him the best in all his future endeavors," via the WWE.

In April, Randy Orton defeated Wyatt at WrestleMania 37 in what proved to be his last match as a member of the WWE. A member of the roster since 2010, Wyatt held three championships as one of the promotion's biggest names. In addition to being a one-time WWE champion, Wyatt twice held the universal title.

The wrestling world has already begun to speculate that Wyatt could find a new home with All Elite Wrestling. Since their 2019 debut, AEW has sliced out a role as the WWE's biggest competitor.The wresting promotion has frequently provided a landing spot for talent previously employed by the WWE.
