Seth Rollins Offers To Train USA Olympic Wrestling Champ Gable Steveson In WWE

WWE superstar Seth Rollins isn't holding back about U.S. Olympian Gable Steveson, appearing on TMZ to say that he would gladly take the time to train the Olympic champion.

Steveson is getting some high exposure after he won a gold medal in freestyle wrestling at the 2020 Games.

The young wrestler, 21, has a long way to go and could learn a ton from Rollins, who has seen it all. Rollins has been on the WWE's main roster as part of both RAW and Smackdown since debuting with the group called The Shield back in November of 2012.

Since then, Rollins has been a huge part of the main roster, no matter the brand or whether he's playing the role of good guy or bad.

Right now, Rollins is in the role of a bad guy on Smackdown on Friday and is getting ready for a matchup Saturday evening in the company's annual Summer event "SummerSlam" against WWE Hall of Famer Edge in Las Vegas.

Rollins tells TMZ that he thinks Steveson would make a great addition to the WWE roster.

"I mean, we’d love to have him. He seems like an incredible athlete and decent dude. And, you know, we've had some luck with Olympic gold medalists before, so why not?" Rollins said to TMZ at LAX in Los Angeles.

The WWE certainly has had plenty of luck in the past with Olympic athletes. They brought in former Pittsburgh gold medal wrestling winner Kurt Angle, who won a gold in Atlanta in 1996 with a broken neck. Angle had a decorated career in WWE and other promotions and is a member of the WWE Hall of Fame.

It remains to be seen whether Steveson can reach that potential, but Rollins is more than willing to try and help get him there.
