Joseph Laurinaitis, Road Warrior Animal, Dies at 60

Joseph Laurinaitis, who was best known to the world as Animal of the legendary professional wrestling tag-team the Road Warriors, has passed away at 60 years old. He was also the father of James Laurinaitis who played linebacker for Ohio State, the Rams, and the Saints. Michael Hegstrand, who was Road Warrior Hawk, died in 2003.

The Road Warriors are one of the greatest tag-teams in pro wrestling history; they held the championship belts in the NWA and WWF. They also performed in WCW and competed for the tag titles there, but never won them in that promotion.
