Armando Salguero is a national award-winning columnist and is OutKick's Senior NFL Writer. He has covered the NFL on a fulltime basis since 1990 and is a selector for the Pro Football Hall of Fame and a voter for the Associated Press All-Pro Team and Awards. Salguero presented both Jason Taylor and Zach Thomas for Pro Football Hall of Fame induction. In 2017, he was selected by the Associated Press Sports Editors as a Top 10 columnist nationally and the voting had him placed third in that ranking.
Salguero has covered 34 Super Bowls, multiple NBA Finals, the Olympics, NASCAR and Formula 1 racing, Major League Baseball, and college football. He served as the beat writer covering the University of Miami Hurricanes for The Miami News and the Miami Herald during two separate national championship seasons. He worked for the Palm Beach Post and Miami Herald covering the Miami Dolphins for a combined 30 years. Salguero also covered the NFL as a bureau reporter for ESPN. And Salguero has hosted multiple morning drive radio shows in South Florida as well as co-hosting The 5 Spot podcast with Donovan McNabb on Outkick channels.
