Aussie Kayaker Explains How Olympic Condoms Came In Handy For Boat Repairs
Aussie kayaker Jessica Fox is the new owner of an Olympic bronze medal and the free condoms handed out to athletes played a role in landing the 27-year-old on the K-1 slalom podium. On Instagram, Fox gave a video play-by-play of how she used the free condoms -- it's OK, the Japanese had like millions of them even though they didn't want the athletes banging due to the 'VID -- to hold a carbon repair mixture on the end of her kayak.
"Bet you never knew condoms could be used for kayak repairs," she wrote. "Very stretchy, much strong. It gives the carbon a smooth finish."
Look at that condom doing work!
Fox, who now has three Olympic medals over her career, put it all in perspective after going through condom boat repairs, putting in the extra hours and all the training.
"It wasn’t the perfect run I was chasing, but I really fought hard and gave it everything so I’m lucky and grateful to be on the podium," she wrote on Instagram.
