Ben-Abraham tweeted out photos of Chara's Made in China hockey sticks, and that led to the Capitals making a couple of moves to make sure their 6-9 defenseman got his lumber.

According to the hockey experts in Ben-Abraham's tweets, hockey sticks are now made from materials sent to China or Mexico and returned as gamers. Look at that, you learn something every single day on this site. Bauer, CCM and True Hockey are all said to make their sticks in China and provide approximately 75% of NHL players with their sticks. The other big player in the market is Warrior hockey and that company supplies roughly 22% of NHLers with sticks made in Tijuana, Mexico.
