Delivery Error Leads To Zdeno Chara's Supersized Hockey Sticks On Guy's Front Porch

What happens when you're minding your business, just living life and $5,000 in hockey sticks show up at your New Jersey residence? That's right, you tweet at the Washington Capitals to come pick up Zdeno Chara's sticks.

"Initially, I just thought it was practice sticks for players, ya know? I didn't think it was anything that crazy. But then, I noticed it says 'Chara 33' right there on all of them – and I was like, 'Wait, I think there might be something here, ya know?'" Ariel Ben-Abraham told Fox 5 DC.

Ben-Abraham tweeted out photos of Chara's Made in China hockey sticks, and that led to the Capitals making a couple of moves to make sure their 6-9 defenseman got his lumber.

According to the hockey experts in Ben-Abraham's tweets, hockey sticks are now made from materials sent to China or Mexico and returned as gamers. Look at that, you learn something every single day on this site. Bauer, CCM and True Hockey are all said to make their sticks in China and provide approximately 75% of NHL players with their sticks. The other big player in the market is Warrior hockey and that company supplies roughly 22% of NHLers with sticks made in Tijuana, Mexico.

As a 'thank you' for his honesty, True Hockey was nice enough to make a merch purchase from Ben-Abraham. Look at that, a happy ending during difficult times. You love to see it.
