Charles Barkley Is Not A Fan Of Wayne Gretzky's Fighting Skills

If you were watching the NHL's debut on TNT on Wednesday night, then you probably saw two G.O.A.T.s on your TV screen, Wayne Gretzky and Charles Barkley.

Ok, maybe only one G.O.A.T., but the two friends were entertaining during their time on set together. We had Barkley in goalie gear trying to stop shots from "The Great One," which on any other night, would have been the best thing we saw. But this is Barkley, and he made sure to take a light jab at Gretzky for losing a fight on the ice in 1982.

Gretzky, never known for throwing fists, fought only twice during his 20-year career, with one coming against Minnesota North Stars forward Neal Broten. Broten dropped Gretzky within seconds, and Barkley wanted to be sure Gretzky hadn't forgotten it.

"Did you lose to a guy with a perm?" Barkley said.

Yes, Chuck, he did. He lost to a guy with a perm. It's safe to say that Gretzky never went down as one of the NHL's greatest enforcers, just its most talented player. Gretzky retired with over 60 NHL records, amassing 2,857 points on 894 goals and 1,963 assists.
