Warren Moon Does Not Believe DeShaun Watson Wants Out Of Houston
It's no secret that DeShaun Watson is unhappy in Houston, but Hall of Fame quarterback Warren Moon says he doesn't want out. Judging off the context clues of Moon's interview with CBS's Zach Gelb, he's right.
Watson reportedly felt "slighted" that the organization hired a general manager without his consultation. Since he's the franchise QB--that makes sense.
"Just be honest with what the process was ," Moon said. "That's all any player wants. He wants a team that he can win with and he wants the organization to be committed to that. He wants to be involved in the process in making that happen."
What's clear is that DeShaun Watson and Warren Moon have held conversations on how to fix the Houston Texans. A great sign for Texans fans who want Watson to stay. Because why would he ask for changes if he intended to leave? Moon is making a whole lot of sense.
DeShaun Watson appears to be a superstar quarterback looking for more control now that his organization has shown they don't know what they're doing. As Warren Moon stated, he's a winner and his teammates have nothing but great things to say about Watson. If all of this is true and the Texans want a lasting marriage with their 25-year-old star quarterback, then they need to make the proper adjustments. It's time to get transparent before this relationship gets ugly.
