Tom Brady's Return To New England Fetching Absurd Ticket Prices
The 2020 season was Tom Brady's first with a franchise not named the New England Patriots. Needless to say, the season was a success, as Brady led the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to their first Super Bowl since 2003.
Bill Belichick and the Patriots, on the other hand, missed the playoffs entirely.
One year into the divorce, and Brady clearly has the upper hand. Most New England fans still love the future Hall of Fame quarterback though and would love to show him some appreciation in person for the six Super Bowls he won in Foxboro.
Those fans -- plus the bitter ones who want to see the Patriots get some revenge -- will get a chance to witness the return in person on Oct. 3. Brady and Tampa Bay will travel to Gillette Stadium to take on the Patriots in Week 4, and the ticket prices for that game have already reached an absurd level.
According to Charles Robinson with Yahoo Sports, the Sunday night game is fetching ticket prices of anywhere between $1,440 to 1,500, and those are for the worse seats in the stadium. On the high end, the tickets could reach prices north of $5,000 -- for a regular season game.
If this pace holds -- or even if it drops a couple hundred dollars -- it will break NFL records for a regular season game. That news isn't necessarily surprising considering the matchup and storylines, but it's still worth mentioning and monitoring.
Would you be willing to pay that kind of money to get in?
