Tom Brady Goes 'Full Speed' At Buccaneers Minicamp
Tom Brady was expected to be a looker-on for most of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers' minicamp, as the man truly has nothing left to prove.
Plus he turns 43-years old in August and is coming off offseason knee surgery, which he recently described as "pretty serious." But this is Brady we're talking about, and even after winning another Super Bowl, he very clearly only knows one speed.
And that speed is what apparently impressed Buccaneers coach Bruce Arians about Brady's participation in the Tuesday edition of this week's minicamp.
"Went full speed," Arians told reporters when asked what impressed him most about Brady, via Joey Knight of the Tampa Tribune.
Unlike most teams in the NFL, every member of the Buccaneers attended minicamp, though several didn't practice because of injuries. That list includes veteran receiver Antonio Brown, tight end O.J. Howard, defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh and rookie rookie wideout Jaelon Darden.
But Brady? Yeah, he was there, healthy and going at it like he always does. Like a champ.
"He looked fine. I had to pull him out a couple ," Arians said. "That first period, I said, 'OK, you can have four .' And he kept begging to go back in. But the only thing I didn't want him in was the blitz period, where some guys might get around him too quick."
