Titans Trade Isaiah Wilson To Dolphins in Pick Swap

Isaiah Wilson might go down as the biggest bust in Tennessee Titans history. After being selected No. 29 overall in the 2020 NFL Draft, the Georgia offensive tackle barely made it through one season with the team.

And when we say barely made it through, we mean it.

Multiple trips to the COVID-19 reserve list, a DUI arrest and several other incidents meant that he played in just one game. More specifically, he played in just four snaps, all during victory formations and a field goal. It became too much for the Titans.

After tweeting that was he was done with the team two weeks ago, it looks like Wilson has gotten his wish.

On Monday evening, NFL insider Ian Rapoport broke the news on Twitter that Wilson was being traded to the Miami Dolphins. The compensation is not fully known, but according to the tweet, it looks like only a pick swap.

ESPN Dolphins beat writer Cameron Wolfe reacted to the news soon after it was announced. He revealed that the franchise was interested in Wilson prior to last year's draft, and Coach Brian Flores attended the same high school as Wilson as well.

Update: Wolfe also tweeted the compensation: Wilson and a Titans 2022 seventh-round pick for a 2021 seventh-round pick from Miami.

Flores and company spent first, second and fourth-round picks on offensive linemen last year. That netted them Austin Jackson, Robert Hunt and Solomon Kindley, all of which saw plenty of action in 2020 -- especially compared to Wilson.

This move will also give Miami QB Tua Tagovailoa another option for protection. We'll have to wait and see if Wilson can stay out of trouble, but the early results aren't great. Good thing it essentially cost them nothing.
