Titans Lose Offensive Lineman To Surprise Retirement

The Tennessee Titans made roster moves Tuesday afternoon as offensive lineman Ty Sambrailo retired and punter Brett Kern was placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list.

The Titans have been without Kern for the previous two games due to a groin injury, Titanswire reports.

The Titans relied on Sambrailo to take over at the left tackle position when Taylor Lewan tore his ACL in 2020, and he's since played in 14 games for Tennessee dating back to 2020.

Sambrailo injured his foot late in the season and began the preseason on the Physically Unable to Perform list, WKRN's Emily Proud reports.

The Titans have signed OL Derwin Gray and OL Jimmy Murray to the practice squad and waived DL Woodrow Hamilton, as well.
