Though MIA At Minicamp, Packers QB Rodgers Gets Support From Teammates, Head Coach LaFleur

The teammates of Green Bay Packers franchise quarterback Aaron Rodgers are sticking up for him, saying that they are not worried about A-Rod missing a Packer mandatory minicamp.

"I think that any GM, any president, any owner, they should want the type of guys that are backing their players, especially a player like that," leading Packers pass catcher Davante Adams said.

"That's just a good trait to have. It's not like I'm saying, 'Forget the front office,' like I don't respect what they have going on."

Rodgers and the Pack have not seen eye to eye all offseason, and head coach Matt LaFleur is doing whatever he can to try and keep the situation at a calm level where eventually Rodgers reports, and the offense of the Pack takes off like it did in 2020.

“I think anytime you’re talking about any player on your football team, you’d love everybody to be here,” LaFleur said when he was asked about Rodgers not being at camp.

LeFleur wouldn't comment on whether he's been in contact with Rodgers recently, but said that he's staying positive that this will all work itself out.

“I'm not gonna get into my conversations with Aaron and the communication,” LaFleur said. “I think, you know, I’m naturally optimistic. But, you know, again, we’ll take it day by day and do whatever we can to help remedy the situation.”
