Steelers WR JuJu Smith-Schuster 'They're Still The Same Browns Teams I Play Every Year'

Steelers WR JuJu Smith-Schuster sat out practice on Thursday with a knee issue that has hindered him all season, but that didn't stop his mouth from making some bulletin board material ahead of Sunday's AFC Wild Card game against the Cleveland Browns.

Smith-Schuster, who has 97 catches this season for 831 yards and nine scores, was asked about the look of the Browns, a team that the Steelers beat on a regular basis but who are finally back in the postseason for the first time since 2002.

The wide out didn't hold back, saying that he felt Cleveland was "the same Browns teams I play every year."

"I think they're nameless, gray faces. They have a couple good players on their team, but at the end of the day, I don't know. The Browns is the Browns," Smith-Schuster said.

The Steelers dominated the Browns in the first meeting between the two teams earlier this season in Heinz Field, winning 38-7 on October 18th.

On Sunday in Cleveland, with mostly backups including quarterback Mason Rudolph, the Browns got a bit of revenge with a 24-22 win in a game they had to have to make the postseason.

Cleveland has had a tough week, as the team lost head coach Kevin Stefanski on Tuesday to a positive COVID-19 diagnosis that will prevent him from coaching on Sunday.

The team also placed safety Ronnie Harrison on the COVID/reserve list on Thursday. The team did activate safety Andrew Sendejo from the list.

LG Joel Bitonio, CB Kevin Johnson, TE Hunter Bryant, CB Denzel Ward, WR KhaDarel Hodge, LB Malcolm Smith, OL Javon Patterson, LB Montrel Meander, TE coach Drew Petzing, OL coach Bill Callahan, Assistant OL coach Scott Peters, and WR coach/passing game coordinator Chad O'Shea all remain on the COVID-19/reserve list for the Browns.
