Spin It Like Beckham: Kareem Hunt's Dad Joins Chorus Of Online Baker Mayfield Doubters
If you told me the fathers of Kareem Hunt and Odell Beckham Jr. were splitting the cost of a downtown Cleveland apartment, sharing bunk beds and going halfsies on the cable bill, I'd believe you. Because from afar, it seems they pair together as harmoniously as Brennan Huff and Dale Doback at the Catalina Wine Mixer.
This became apparent after Mr. Hunt took to social media to criticize Browns quarterback Baker Mayfield less than a month after Papa Beckham was singing the same tune.
"He's scared to throw the ball," Hunt Sr. said of Baker Mayfield in a Facebook post shortly after a Browns loss to Baltimore on Sunday Night Football.
Though Kareem's dad sees it differently, he and Beckham Sr. are co-writing the same diss track.
"Now I'm getting people on my Facebook saying I'm being like obj Daddy and I'm not I'm stating facts on football and what we see (Baker's) limping he's scared to throw the ball and they know he's hurt they going to keep listening but if people don't like what I'm saying unfriend me I'm not jeopardizing nothing I got a right to speak I ain't posting no videos have a good day go Browns hopefully," said Hunt Sr. in the longest run-on sentence in the history of Facebook and perhaps the world.
Holy hell. Apparently Mr. Hunt hates commas and periods even more than he hates Baker. These eyes haven't witnessed such hate since Dale put his balls on Brennan's drum set.
This is the second time in less than a month that a parent of one of Cleveland's offensive stars has publicly called out Mayfield. Not exactly music to the ears of Baker or the Browns.
After last night's loss, Cleveland drops to 6-6 on the season and currently finds itself in last place in the AFC North. The Browns are now on a bye, which should allow Hunt Sr. some time away from the keys. Maybe he and Beckham Sr. can use that time to work on a Boats N' Hoes remix or pop in a grammar class. I'm sure they'll let us (and Baker) know either way.
