Saints Get Destroyed on Twitter for Taysom Hill Usage
Taysom Hill signed an extension with the New Orleans Saints back in April. That extension is currently worth $21 million over the next two seasons with $16 million guaranteed. Is Hill worth that price tag?
According to the masses on Twitter, the answer is a resounding no.
During the Monday Night Football game against the Los Angeles Chargers, Sean Peyton utilized Hill incorrectly once again, putting him in sporadically and only whenever quarterback Drew Brees seemed to find a rhythm.
Saints fans, analysts and other casual observers on social media are absolutely sick of it, too.
Peyton has a serious infatuation with Hill, and no one can really figure out why. But will the Super Bowl winning coach eventually get away from the big investment that is the gadget quarterback? More than likely, the answer is no.
Better get used to it.
Hill was an undrafted free agent out of BYU back in 2017. At 30 years old, he is now considered one of the oldest "developmental" quarterbacks in the NFL. It's a good thing the Saints are not hurting for cap space.
