Ray Lewis Goes The Barry Bonds Route, Takes Up Cycling
Well, it's official, Ray Lewis is a cyclist. Just this week the squirrel-dancing hall of famer revealed that he's fallen in love with cycling and it sure feels like he's about to go on a Barry Bonds-like journey with the sport. I think we all know where this is headed -- Ray Lewis is about to become skinny Ray Ray. The pounds are about to drain off his 6'1 frame.
"Team, as you know I am always on the road, and these days, no matter where I go I must have my bike with me," Ray writes on Instagram. "Hitting the road every day to master the art of cycling has become a real passion. One of the things I love about cycling is that just like football, the connection between my lifestyle off the bike (eating, sleeping, recovering, cross training) and how I perform when I am in the saddle is undeniable. Every inch of progress is found in my preparation. Stay tuned as I will be sharing more and more of my journey with you."
Ray made the big cycling announcement while chewing up miles in the mountains of Cabo. "Even on vacation exercise is always a priority. Riding through the mountains in Cabo I got to see more of Mexico than I anticipated," he said.
It won't be long and photos of Ray with other cyclists out on the roads, on top of mountains, out on the streets will start to pop up and that's a good thing. Content. Ray can do motivational speeches before rides and cyclists will go out and crush it. I've been working on this post for 15 minutes and I'm already thinking about getting a road bike. That's the influence of Ray Lewis.
