Ravens CB Marlon Humphrey Still Living In Camper Despite $97 Million Contract
Marlon Humphrey is financially secure.
After signing a five-year, $97 million extension with the Baltimore Ravens in October of 2020, money shouldn't ever be an issue for him. That especially holds true considering he was also a first-round pick back in 2017, so he was already in a really good place.
Despite his healthy income, Humphrey is still living in a camper. Why, you might ask? Because he's in the process of watching his dream home come together. The process has been somewhat slow, but Humphrey is enjoying every minute of it.
He's also enjoying the camper life, which he says has even prompted questions from his coaches.
“This has been my offseason crib,” he told Whisper, via Saturday Down South. “Pretty nice camper, I think it’s state of the art. … My coach is like, ‘Why are you living in a camper?’ It’s been funny to tell people I’m living in a camper, but it’s been funnier when they come and visit me and then I’m like, ‘This is where I’m living.’ I personally consider myself a humble guy.”
Based on this video, Humphrey seems like a grounded individual.
His Twitter account, which once included the words "fruit punch," is a fun follow. And now seeing him out in the country, completely uninterested in the glamourous city lifestyle, is refreshing. He may have signed a big contact, but it doesn't look like he's changed much.
Good for him.
