Rams' LT Andrew Whitworth Helping Out 53 Families In Shelters This Christmas
The feel good story of the day has to be Rams' left tackle Andrew Whitworth helping to support 53 families during Christmas. Whitworth has partnered with St. Joseph Center to help families living in shelters and crisis motels, providing gifts to children and $500 gift cards for groceries. Sometimes we forget how lucky we are to receive gifts every year.
If that doesn't bring a tear to your eye, we don't know what will.
This hasn't exactly been a picture perfect Christmas for Whitworth either. He recently underwent major surgery and is currently going through arduous rehab. He has plenty reason to feel sorry for himself this season, yet he has still managed to bring a smile to hundreds.
It's easy to see why Andrew Whitworth always finds his name in the running for the Walter Payton Man of the Year Award. Many athletes have the ability to donate their time and hard earned money to worthy causes, but many of them don't. For that, Whitworth deserves all the praise that comes his way.
These families will remember his contributions for a lifetime. Thank you, Mr. Whitworth.
