Peyton Manning Talks About NFL's New Mandate For HOF Speeches

The Pro Football Hall of Fame induction ceremony is set to return to Canton, Ohio on Sunday, August 8th from 7 pm to 11 pm.

The NFL has shifted times for the ceremony a number of times over the years. It actually used to take place at noon on a Saturday with the ceremony on the steps of the Hall at noon, and then the annual Hall of Fame Game was played between 3-3:30 pm.

Since there was no ceremony in 2020, there will be more inductees than usual in 2021, and with it you have to keep your eyes on the clock.

Former Colts and Broncos QB Peyton Manning said on a media call that the Hall of Fame has asked this year's inductees to limit their speeches to 6-to-8 minutes.

Manning says that right now, he's currently at 7 minutes, 50 seconds for his speech.

Talking about his speech he's putting together, Manning also said his “gut feeling” is that Green Bay Packers QB Aaron Rodgers won’t be coming to Denver.

He would add that he “hopes” the reigning league MVP can work out his differences with the Green Bay Packers.
