Panthers Trade Teddy Bridgewater To Broncos For a Sixth-round Pick

The Broncos and Panthers have agreed on a deal that sends Teddy Bridgewater to Denver. Carolina received a sixth-round pick and will be paying $7 million of his 2021 salary, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.

What this deal tells us:

Now that Teddy Bridgewater is out of Carolina for good, it's become obvious that the team has a target with the eighth overall pick in tomorrow's draft. There's no telling who slides down that far in the quarterback pool, but the team clearly feels their guy will be there.

And man, Bridgewater just can't find a home. Whether he wins or not, he's becoming a journeyman, cashing checks all over the NFL. Guess it could be worse.
