Packers All-Pro Left Tackle David Bakhtiari Reportedly Suffers Torn ACL

One of the biggest Packers players not named Aaron Rodgers or Davante Adams is going to miss the rest of the season. All-Pro left tackle David Bakhtiari suffered a season-ending knee injury in practice Thursday.

Reports say that the primary diagnosis is a torn ACL, an injury with a six-to-nine month recovery.

Bakhtiari, a fourth-round pick of the 2013 NFL draft, will undergo further tests to confirm the torn ACL.

The Packers are currently 12-3. If they can win their regular season finale against the Chicago Bears Sunday, they will be the first-seed in the NFC, an important feat in the 2020 season as there is only one bye each in the NFC and AFC.

The injury is a tough one to swallow for the Packers and Bakhtiari, as it comes only six weeks after he inked a massive four-year, $103.5 million contract extension, making him the highest-paid offensive lineman in NFL history.

Billy Turner, who replaced Bakhtiari for three games due to broken ribs earlier this year, could slide over from the right side to take over the left tackle spot.
