Niners Haven't Settled On What QB They Will Be Taking At No.3 In Upcoming NFL Draft

It was a wild weekend for the San Francisco 49ers, as the team pulled off a massive draft trade involving top picks for the next few years to come.

The club moved three first-round picks to acquire the No. 3 pick in the 2021 NFL Draft from the Miami Dolphins.

The immediate question is what quarterback will the Niners go after come a few weeks away in Cleveland for the 2021 NFL Draft.

Peter King in his latest Football Morning in America column says that the Niners themselves are undecided on who is the team's pick will be third overall.

"It seems stunning to think Alabama’s Mac Jones could be the Niners’ choice—and “could be” is the operative phrase because the Niners have not decided who to choose at three," King said in the column.

It's ultra-important for the Niners to get this decision right, Mac Jones or not, as the team already gave away their top picks in the next few years in the deal with the Fins Friday.

General manager John Lynch and coach Kyle Shanahan specifically made the move to get themselves their quarterback of the future.

They can't mess it up, and have time to make the decision - the most important thing is that it's the correct decision.
