New York Giants Considering Moving Down From Pick 11 In The 2021 NFL Draft
With teams scrambling to figure out their direction in next week's NFL Draft, one team that is reportedly looking to move down instead of up in the draft is the New York Giants.
New York sits with the 11th pick, sandwiched between two of their NFC East rivals, the Dallas Cowboys at 10 and the Philadelphia Eagles at 12.
When it comes to moving down, NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports that the No. 11 pick currently has 'real value' to a number of teams around the league.
The Giants, according to Rapoport, are doing their homework, taking phone calls and making them as well to see what they could acquire for the pick.
Per usual for the draft, most teams that are in the top 10 are talking about taking a quarterback, and they are focused on five QBs. So by the time a team does pick at 11, the big name QBs will likely be long gone.
That doesn't mean that the pick doesn't have value, as there are plenty of other stockpiled positions that teams would be willing to trade for.
If the Giants decide to keep the pick, the team could use an offensive lineman, a pass rusher on the outside, as well as a wide out, three spots that will certainly be available at 11.
