Minnesota Vikings Reportedly Considering Josh McDaniels For HC
The Minnesota Vikings fired former head coach Mike Zimmer and general manager Rick Spielman on Monday, it seems like the team may have a guy they have their eye on.
New England Patriots offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels — who worked with Tom Brady during his time in New England and has spent this season developing Mac Jones — has significant interest from around the league, SportsTalk790's Aaron Wilson reports.
Although Wilson reports that McDaniels won't interview for jobs during the Patriots' playoffs, that doesn't mean the interest isn't there — the teams that are believed to be strongly considering McDaniels include the Chicago Bears, Minnesota Vikings, and the New York Giants.
The Bears fired former head coach Matt Nagy and general Ryan Pace on Monday, just one day after the team's season ended in a loss to the Vikings and ended 6-11 overall.
The Giants fired former head coach Joe Judge on Tuesday, following two days of meetings with the owners in the aftermath of a 4-13 season that ended with six consecutive losses.
