Marcus Peters Clearly Not Over Trade From Rams: 'Fvck Them'

Marcus Peters has been traded twice during his six-year NFL career. First, the Kansas City Chiefs, who drafted him No. 18 overall in 2015, shipped him off to the Los Angeles Rams after three seasons. Only a year and a half later, the Rams sent him to the Baltimore Ravens.

Let's just say that second trade sticks with him a lot more than the first -- and understandably so.

Peters felt disrespected because on that same October day in 2019, the Rams also made a deal to acquire Jalen Ramsey from the Jacksonville Jaguars. In other words, the decision-makers in Los Angeles just preferred Ramsey to Peters.

For obvious reasons, this didn't sit well with the former first-round pick out of Washington. On Tuesday, a teaser was released for an appearance Peters had on podcast, Catchin' Fades, hosted by his former Rams teammate Aqib Talib.

"(Expletive) them," Peters said, via USA TODAY. "That's how I was feeling, and I'm still feeling like that. Because I felt disrespected, in the sense of, yeah, you y'all can trade me, that's part of the business. But two minutes after that, you bring in another guy who do the same (expletive) I do, maybe a little bit different. If we play this compare game, I do a little bit more. That (expletive) was disrespectful to me."

In a lot of ways, the trade has worked out for everyone involved.

Peters has done well in Baltimore, and Ramsey has done well in Los Angeles. Of course, both of the teams have benefitted as well, except the Rams did have to part with two first-round picks and a fourth-round selection to make it happen.

Was that worth the upgrade? That answer may vary, depending on whom you ask.
