Lions Coaching Staff in COVID-19 Disarray

The Detroit Lions are set to play the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday, but there's another looming issue. They are scrambling right now to figure out who, if anyone, from their coaching staff will be available for the game. Ian Rapoport details:




With all of the COVID-19 issues we've seen in sports this year, this would be a new one as it pertains to the NFL. I don't even think we've seen something quite like this in college. Head coaches have missed time, but we have not seen entire or nearly entire coaching staffs decimated.

It's weird to call this a silver lining for the Lions, but at least they're not fighting for a playoff spot while trying to determine which coaches on their staff, if any, are eligible for Sunday's game.
