Kareem Jackson Breaks Down How He Spent His First $1M Paycheck
Life changes drastically for a player once he gets drafted into the NFL. Big paychecks mean big purchases for many, and it's always interesting to see what they end up buying first.
For Denver Broncos safety Kareem Jackson, the first million went pretty fast. After being drafted by the Houston Texans with the No. 20 overall pick in the 2010 NFL Draft, he signed a $13.25 million deal over five years.
According to a recent article with GQ, Jackson soon made some luxurious purchases that wiped out almost 10 percent of his first contract. According to CBS 4 in Denver, here's how he spent that money:
I've often wondered how I'll spend my first million, whenever that day finally arrives. It might take some time, but I'll be sure to take a page or two out of Jackson's book. Maybe not the tattoo parties, the jewelry or the rookie dinner, but those others? Absolutely.
