Kaepernick Gets Tampa Mural And Billboard, Thanks To Ben & Jerry's

We used to celebrate civil rights heroes with murals and billboards, but now Ben & Jerry's Ice Cream celebrates Colin Kaepernick because he "knows his rights." They made sure the former quarterback got attention by plastering his face all over Tampa, in case his $10 million settlement wasn't enough.

Man, this generation's bar for heroics is low.

This is nothing more than a poor example for our children. Instead of doing something that sacrifices their own safety like Rosa Parks did in Alabama, our current millionaire heroes wear t-shirts and tweet.

Kaepernick decided to take a knee only because he was playing ghastly football and was on his way out the league. His girlfriend and agency also had to give him their permission first. Kaepernick never kneeled during the height of his Super Bowl run with the San Francisco 49ers, just when the ice melted in his soda.

It's a shame that our youth have to sift through propaganda like these billboards and murals to learn the truth, that rich athletes hardly ever have the common man's best interest at heart. So we'd like to send a special shoutout to Ben & Jerry's for polluting the streets of Tampa at a time when we could use more actual sports talk.

Apparently getting Trump out of office didn't solve all their problems like they said it would.
