It's Hard To Believe The Titans Are Running Out Of Patience With 1st Rounder Isaiah Wilson

Titans GM Jon Robinson held a Zoom call with members of the media today and went over a few things on the team's plate this offseason, including what to do with 2020 1st round pick OL Isaiah Wilson, who has been a mess for the organization.

Wilson's antics have been well-documented here at OutKick. Six months ago, Mike Vrabel lectured him for attending what sounds like a wild party at Tennessee State University. At that party, cops noted that Wilson "considered jumping from a second-story balcony to evade campus law-enforcement officials."

A month after that, Wilson was arrested for DUI after doing doughnuts in an intersection. "This is not conduct that is indicative of the character of our football team and we are working through details on how to proceed," the team said after that incident.

Then, on New Year's Eve, Wilson was spotted partying on a yacht with ladies (strippers?) who were dancing around while the yacht was covered in singles.

Keep in mind, Wilson signed a four-year contract worth $11,568,389, including a $5,973,376 signing bonus and $11,357,982 guaranteed as part of his rookie deal. He appeared in one game this season and played four snaps.



Enter general manager Jon Robinson and his lack of patience with the rookie.

"Robinson says he hasn't spoken to Isaiah Wilson since the Titans put him on the (non-football illness) list," Associated Press Teresa Walker wrote on Twitter. "Says Titans did a bunch of work on Wilson before drafting him, but that wasn't the guy who showed up for work. On Wilson to decide if he's ready to work and wants to play football."

Robinson told the media that the team has contacted Wilson, but their patience is wearing thin.

"Nothing Jon Robinson said about Isaiah Wilson just now indicates that he’s not sick of the situation. This dude isn’t anywhere close to secure in his position," Titans reporter Buck Reising added.

Uh, you think.

The only positive sign for the Titans? Wilson appears to have deleted his Instagram. Now it's time to see if it's too late.
