Isaiah Wilson Tweets He’s Done With Titans, Then Deletes It

When the Tennessee Titans drafted Isaiah Wilson with the No. 29 pick in the 2020 NFL Draft, they were hoping he would be a staple on the offensive line for the next decade-plus. So far, they've been wrong.

The mammoth offensive tackle out of Georgia has struggled during his time in Nashville. He landed on the COVID-19 reserve list twice, got arrested for a DUI, made some immature posts on social media and caused some other off the field issues, so Wilson has been a constant headache.

The latest saga came on Monday night.

Wilson tweeted out saying he was done with the Titans, but then quickly deleted it. It was too late though. Receipts are almost immediate, and NFL Update snagged a screen grab before it could be erased.

"Im done with football as a Titan... No further comments," Wilson tweeted.

At this point, it's safe to assume Wilson's time as a Titan could be nearing an end. If not by his choice, it will be a decision that comes from Jon Robinson and/or Mike Vrabel. Robinson said just last week that Wilson was on thin ice.

“We’ve tried to exhaust a lot of resources trying to help (Wilson),” Robinson said, via the Tennessean. “He’s going to have to make a determination if he wants to do everything necessary to play pro football, and that’s going to be on him. I know what the expectation level is here, and it’s no different than for any other player on the football team.

“We have a standard that we want players to prepare, perform at professionally and as people. There’s a lot of work to be done there.”

Lucky for Tennessee, Taylor Lewan is expected to be back at some point in 2021 after tearing his ACL in mid-October. Once he's back, the team will more than likely rely on Dennis Kelly and him at offensive tackle.

Either way, what a waste of a premium draft pick. This has to be a frustrating situation for Titans fans.
