Injury Update: Broncos' Jerry Jeudy Carted Off Field After Ankle Injury Against Giants
*UPDATE: NFL's Tom Pelissero announced that X-rays on Jeudy's ankle came back negative. The injury has been declared a high ankle sprain.
Broncos wide receiver Jerry Jeudy was carted off the field during Sunday's game against the New York Giants. The receiver went down after Giants cornerback James Bradberry dragged the receiver down on a tackle, trapping Jeudy's lower leg in the process.
Jeudy exited the game with eight minutes left in the third quarter and has officially been declared Out.
Early reports claim that the sophomore receiver, and primary target in Denver, suffered from a broken ankle — meanwhile, the video of the injury provides a visual confirmation that the injury will require an extended period of time for recovery.
The receiver was at the top of Denver's box score going into the fourth quarter: Catching 6-of-7 targets for 72 yards to lead all Broncos receivers.
OutKick's Dr. David Chao gave an instant reaction to the injury, via ProFootballDoc.com.
"By video, he suffered a right high ankle sprain when the defender fell on the outside of his ankle. He was carted to the locker room and he will not return today. He could require an IR stint before he is fully healthy."
