Greg Olsen Retiring From NFL, Joining FOX Broadcast Booth

Greg Olsen is making the transition to the broadcasting booth. After 14 seasons of playing in the NFL, the former first-round tight end out of Miami is hanging up his pads for good.

Olsen is joining FOX, where he announced his decision to retire on Sunday prior to the start of the Green Bay Packers-Tampa Bay Buccaneers game. According to Mark Marske with The Washington Post, Olsen said "I'm stepping away. I'm done. I've got it all out of my system."

Olsen spent the first four seasons of his career with the Chicago Bears. He followed it up with nine years with the Carolina Panthers form 2011-19. To finish up, he joined the Seattle Seahawks in 2020, but that will be the end of it.

In his 14 years, he brought in 742 catches for 8,683 yards and 60 touchdowns. The receptions and yardage is good for fifth-most in NFL history for a tight end, while the touchdowns check in at No. 8 on the list.

He finished with with three Pro Bowls and two All-Pro honors.
