Georgia Dawg Annslee Walker, MLB Fans Get Even Crazier & Grandma Gets Into A Booty-Shaking Contest

You guys want some good news? I have some to offer up this morning

Your beautiful tri-blend Thursday Night Mowing League shirt/jersey is shipping TODAY! That's right, the t-shirt production lab has been working around the clock and got the first batch of TNMLs into the USPS system. Talk about a crazy week. Exactly seven days ago, my wife was all over me to get things ready for our family trip. I had to pack a van. Make sure the dog crate would fit. Make sure I had all the beach gear. Get the van in order. Etc.

Meanwhile that same day, the t-shirt manager and I settled on a logo, and I posted this announcing the shirts were for sale. And then you guys went nuts with orders. How crazy? I was receiving updates left and right from the t-shirt manager while trying to suck down some Pure Michigan. One of those updates was that you guys surpassed the t-shirt department manager's entire project sales goal in less than 24 hours.

Now here we are seven days later, and those shirts are on their way. I'm sure there's some sort of Internet teamwork award out there that we should apply for and WIN! You know, some LinkedIn street cred for the young hustlers within this company that you guys have never heard of.

My previous employer couldn't get a shirt/flag order right to save their business lives. Seriously, they're pretty much out of business. One time I had to personally drive a flag to a guy because the New York office kept sending him the wrong order. OutKick's a different animal altogether. I'm telling you guys, there are some young guns working hard to make this machine work, and I'm very happy to be on their team.

• We're about 49 hours out from the Put-In-Bay Invitational and the forecast remains absolutely stunning. 80 degrees. Slight breeze out of the west/southwest. Last night I got the clubs out of storage, made sure we're set with coolers, made sure we have enough broken tees to pound into the tee boxes, and tried to figure out how I'm going to get everything done and make it to the 6:30 a.m. Saturday ferry to journey across Lake Erie.

There's nervous energy in the air, but that's what tends to fuel me. Can I pull it off again? Do I still have the A-game? Screencaps readers will be there and they deserve an A+ experience, so that's what we will deliver.

• LaMont J. slid into the Instagram (@joekinseyexp) DMs to say:

Joe you are so what we need today in the world of sports and pop culture. Thank you for what you are doing at OutKick. To turn around a column about Charles Barkley and “Big Ol San Antonio women” is absolutely brilliant! You are a man of the people. Keep up the great work!

As I told LaMont, when it's a content idea and it's in my wheelhouse, there's normally nothing stopping me. The blue checkmark nerds won't come up with that content because they're worried about sullying themselves in a future job interview. I've said it dozens of times, this will be the last Internet media company I work for, so you're damn right I'm going to blog about the curvy Instagram model industry. The Athletic never slid into my DMs, but Clay did. That's the Clay Travis difference. He gets the content business.

And by the way, you guys are crushing that big ol' Instagram model post with significant traffic. It's time to get your curvy model suggestions in so I can throw them into Caps. Yep, I'll keep you anonymous. That's how we roll with this stuff. Slide into the DMs or email: joekinsey@gmail.com.

• Mike V. (not Vick) checks in:

Hi Joe my name is Mike and I live on Long Island (about 20 miles from NYC). Though I live in what's considered "coastal elite" territory I would hardly consider myself that. I mow my own lawn every week (though usually not on Thursday night) and I have fairly conservative views which isn't always popular in such a blue state. I just wanted to thank you for doing your screencaps column every day. I always look forward to reading it. I love and believe everything OutKick stands for. There are very few sports media outlets doing what you do. Keep up the good work.

Now I need to figure out how to get Mike to cut on Thursdays to free up his weekend so he can catch a Mets game. Mike, please tell me you're not mowing on Saturdays. You sound like the type of guy who works his ass off on a daily basis and deserves a wide-open Saturday to live life and maybe suck down a beer or two while enjoying the patio life.

• Shane B. sent this Saturday while I was on my weekend family vacation:

Just joining the league. Lawn conquered. DBAP shirt on for my BLM neighbor and New Glarus Spotted Cow. Sorry no Busch Light since I got a job.

• And finally this morning, I received this message from JRobb:

Hey Joe. As I live in the Nashville area I'm a long time follower of Clay. Have really learned to enjoy your columns. I'm a dad of 3. My youngest has pretty severe special needs. She's been in and out of the hospital for the last several months. We finally had her transferred to Cincinnati Children's Hospital. Going to be a long summer of driving back and forth to Cincinnati. Obviously not the summer anyone in my family was looking for. I'd be lying if I didn't say at times there are little twinges wishing I could embrace this summer like you are but mostly it's encouraging to see what you're into and a reminder life is out there and I have to find it where I can. I know it's corny but your fun, lighthearted posts are rays of light for me right now. Just wanted to say thanks and keep it up.

Needless to say, I was pretty floored by this message. I explained to JRobb that I had some dark summers not so long ago, but time has passed and now I'm definitely in a better spot. Hopefully, his brighter days will return soon, but in the meantime, I want him to know there's a pretty big community here that has his back and will do its part. I'll do my part to keep cranking out the lighthearted posts, and Cincinnati Children's will do its part. We have your back, JRobb.

Now, let's get out there, have ourselves a Thursday, stay strong, muscle through whatever you need to accomplish on this beautiful summer day and reconvene later tonight to share what you've accomplished as the sun goes down on one of the longest days of the year.
