Free Agent WR Golden Tate Talks About Three Teams He'd Like To Play For In 2021

The clock continues to tick as free agent NFL players look for homes for the 2021 season. One player who is still searching for a place to play this upcoming season is veteran wide receiver Golden Tate.

Tate has been without a team since he was released by the Giants earlier this offseason.

He's had a couple up and down seasons in the NFL, but he can still snag 40 or so catches, which is something you would think at least one NFL team would be interested in.

Tate, of course, wants his career to continue, and he gave a couple potential teams that could be a fit for him, including the Tennessee Titans and the Indianapolis Colts, two rival clubs from the AFC South, and the Los Angeles Rams.

“I would love to go back home to Tennessee,” Tate said, via SiriusXM NFL Radio.

“Indy, over with Carson Wentz. Obviously, the L.A. Rams would be fantastic with Stafford. I had my best years with Stafford. I really like the entire NFC West, to be honest.”

With Tennessee, Tate would have a team that is trending upwards in today's NFL, a club that is going to enter 2021 with a lot of expectations.

The Colts are an interesting match for Tate, who says he wouldn't mind catching passes from Carson Wentz. Wentz is slated to be the team's starting quarterback when the 2021 season kicks off.

With the Rams, Tate would have a reunion of sorts as he'd be catching passes from his old friend in Detroit, Matthew Stafford.

Though he hasn't always seen eye to eye with teams in the past, Tate deserves a shot to play somewhere, and it's hard to think he won't be on a NFL roster come opening day.
