Former NFL LB Acho: Tim Tebow 'Complete Unqualified!!'
One-time former NFL linebacker Emmanuel Acho is speaking out about the Jacksonville Jaguars, a team he once played for, and their decision to ink former NFL QB Tim Tebow.
In his first stint in the NFL back in 2012, Tebow played quarterback for the Denver Broncos, who drafted him, and then for the New York Jets. Tebow is now expected to play at tight end.
Tebow hasn't officially appeared in an NFL game since 2012 following his attempt to make it work with the New England Patriots in 2013 and the Philadelphia Eagles in 2015.
There's been a LOT of chatter about the Jags signing Tebow, as one would expect, and today former LB Acho has come out and given his take.
Jags coach Urban Meyer, former head coach of Ohio State and Florida, bringing in Tebow, whom he coached at Florida, doesn't sound like the worst thing that the Jags will do this offseason.
How much of an impact Tebow will have at the tight end spot for the Jags remains to be seen.
Jacksonville already has five tight ends on their roster: Chris Manhertz, James O'Shaughnessy, Luke Farrell, Ben Ellefson and Tyler Davis. Manhertz, who was signed in free agency, is a blocker who has 12 catches in 70 career games.
Future Hall of Fame tackle Joe Thomas spoke out against Acho, stating that he doesn't see anything wrong with the way the Jags are handling the situation.
