Former NFL CB Adam 'Pacman' Jones Sentenced To Jail For Assault

Former NFL cornerback Adam "Pacman" Jones has had his fair share of encounters with the law. Jones is in trouble again and was sentenced to 180 days in jail on Thursday after being convicted of assault.

The assault stems from a bar fight at Clutch OTR in Cincinnati, Ohio on Feb. 15, 2021. Jones got into a brawl with employees, and barstools were thrown. According to Hamilton County authorities, Jones punched and kicked a man until he was unconscious.

TMZ Sports reports that Jones, 38, had 150 of his days suspended. If Jones shows good behavior, he will have to serve only 30 days. Jones was sentenced to nine months of probation and will begin his sentence on Nov. 29.

Jones' legal issues go all the way back to 2005, when Jones was selected sixth overall by the Titans out of West Virginia. Jones was arrested for assault and felony vandalism in July 2005 after an altercation outside a nightclub in Nashville.

Jones had a few more legal issues afterward before NFL commissioner Roger Goodell suspended him for four games in 2008 for having pattern of disturbing behavior.

On the field, Jones was productive in 12 NFL seasons. Jones spent eight seasons with the Bengals, earning an All-Pro nod in 2014. Jones was also named to the Pro Bowl in 2015. His career ended in 2018 after recording 17 interceptions, 509 tackles and five punt returns for touchdowns.
