Falcons Interview Titans OC Arthur Smith A Second Time
Tennessee Titans offensive coordinator Arthur Smith has been making the rounds in head coaching interviews, and the latest report has him speaking with the Atlanta Falcons for a second time.
But wait. There's more. Ian Rapoport of NFL Media claims that interviews with the New York Jets and Philadelphia Eagles await. "A red-hot" coaching candidate, is how Rapoport referred to Smith, and that indeed seems to be the case.
Smith, 38, became the Titans' offensive coordinator under Mike Vrabel before the 2019 season. Before that, he was the tight ends coach and assistant tight ends coach. Overall, he has been with Tennessee for nearly a decade.
The Falcons are looking to replace Dan Quinn, who was fired after five games. Quinn has since become the defensive coordinator of the Dallas Cowboys.
At some point, this crazy NFL coaching carousal is bound to slow down, but don't expect that to happen until well after the Super Bowl.
