Do The Buccaneers Want To Acquire Nick Foles?

Nick Foles, currently of the Chicago Bears, is looking for a team to play for in 2021, and reigning Super Bowl champions, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers could call for his services.

Tom Brady is entrenched as the team's starter for this season as they look to repeat, but there are plenty of rumors that Foles could join the team as a backup.

NFL analyst Chris Simms mentioned Foles joining the Bucs, and that if he does, the bad blood that Brady supposedly has for Foles might just go away.

In the past, Brady has refused to shake Foles' hand, including after Tampa's 20-19 loss to the Bears last season and also the Patriots' loss to Foles and the Philadelphia Eagles in the Super Bowl a few years back.

If the Bucs do want to bring in Foles, they will have to find a way to make room for him on the roster. As it stands the Bucs have four quarterbacks under contract going into training camp next week: Brady, Blaine Gabbert, Ryan Griffin, and Kyle Trask.

Griffin is likely the odd man out right now for Tampa Bay, and if the team wants to bring in Foles, Griffin might be the player shown the exit.

The Bucs traded up to draft Trask in the second round in April, and he'll likely get a chance to learn on the job in 2021.

Right now, the Bears have Ohio State rookie QB Justin Fields as well as former Bengals and Cowboys QB Andy Dalton, so Foles may not get much playing time, which is why there's talk about him going to another team.
