Cris Carter Calls Tyreek Hill 'Most Feared' WR In The NFL

Tyreek Hill is clearly one of the best wide receivers in the NFL.

In 74 career regular season games, the former fifth-round pick has 368 catches for 5,391 yards and 47 touchdowns. He's also got 623 yards and six scores on the ground. In 2020 alone, he racked up 87 catches for 1,276 yards and 15 touchdowns.

In other words, when he's healthy, he's dynamic.

Is he the most feared receiver in the league, though? Hall of Fame pass-catcher Cris Carter certainly seems to think so. On Friday, Carter joined the folks over on Good Morning Football to discuss several topics, but his opinion on "best receiver in the league" topped the list.

When asked to share his thoughts on how Hill doesn't get included in that upper echelon of pass-catchers, Carter dove into his thought process.

"Julio Jones has dominated the game of football, and we love Julio," Carter responded. "He has not weakness in his game, and we have given him that top seed, a lot like we did Larry Fitzgerald before we gave the crown to Julio.

"But I think it's time to start looking at some of these other guys. Stefon Diggs had an amazing season. We know DeAndre Hopkins is going to be in the conversation. But Tyreek Hill, I'm going to say it on this show, is the best, fastest football player that we've had play wide receiver."

Carter goes on to discuss how most guys with Hill's pure speed are mostly considered specialists. But Hill is a different kind of elite-leveled athlete.

"This guy is a top-flight, elite All-Pro wide receiver -- one day will be wearing a gold jacket," Carter continued. "Because he's busted through the glass ceiling as far as speed guys playing wide receiver. This is what we should call him: the most feared wide receiver."

There are arguments to be made for several guys, but Hill's dynamic, playmaking style is a massive headache for defensive coordinators. Is he the most feared? Eh, that's hard to say. But he should absolutely be involved in the conversation.

Love him or hate him, Hill is going to be around awhile. He's still only 26 years old.
