Chris Jones Weighs In On JJ Watt Potentially Playing For The Chiefs
No one can quite figure out where JJ Watt is headed this offseason, but Chiefs defensive lineman Chris Jones has an idea of where he SHOULD go. He elaborated in an interview with Sports Radio 810 WHB:
“J.J. Watt has been my favorite player throughout the league my whole career,” Jones said. “He was the Aaron Darnold before Aaron Donald — he was J.J. Watt, you know? So he’s still my favorite player. Would I love to play with him if the opportunity presents itself? Hell yeah. But you never know how these things go. He’s a free agent for the first time in his career. He might want to play with his brother or something, I don’t know.”
If this tweet is true, then JJ Watt and the Chiefs would be an ideal fit. Chris Jones-JJ Watt-Frank Clark? Come on.
I mean, when was the last time these three managed to make it through an entire football game without witnessing a double-team? That would be the norm if Watt ultimately decides to take his talents to KC.
But money wise? A team like the Cleveland Browns will have a far better offer to the former Houston Texans Defensive Player Of The Year. Especially after they may try and shed salary out that receiving core that frees even more room for a short-term Watt contract.
If you want to join in on the fun, just give JJ Watt a follow on Twitter. He seems to have no clue what he wants, but the least we can do is speculate.
So where do YOU think he ends up?
